We have seen that Taiko band many times! I am so glad you finished your Equinox mittens - they are absolutely beautiful. I know exactly what you mean about fixing mistakes and learning to do things yourself. I knitted a lot of complicated patterns when I was in my teens but if anything went wrong my mum fixed it. I knitted Argylle socks when I was 17 but I didn't actually learn to knit socks until about 10 years ago because my first experience was just doing what I was told step by step by Mum, I didn't understand how socks were constructed. She would be so chuffed now to see me finishing things properly now.It is only when I started thinking for myself that I really started to understand garment construction.

Thanks Dan, I always enjoy your videos. They're personal and relatable. I too have learned important life lessons from knitting that's helped me be a better person. Bryony would love a sweater her dad made her. That would be so special.
