When I first watched Space Battleship Yamato back in my misspent youth, I was so taken aback that the show was a continuing serial as it was one of the first such animated shows I had encountered. When I worked at a hobby store later in life, I would bring in VHS copies of anime shows to show on a monitor the store had setup at the store entrance to show the cashiers at the front counter on Friday Nights. I was surprised that many customers would stop and watch the show as well. Some anime I had to do some 'editing' to keep it family friendly. Doing clean edits on VHS tape back in the 80's and early 90's was not always easy. LOL

Bit late catching up on the last few episodes, for that question from the previous episode on if there are any Star Blazers / Space Battleship Yamato video games, none specifically that I know of, at least in the English language. Closest there is would be Super Robot Wars V, a strategy RPG that mashes together a whole bunch of shows into a beautiful mess of a plot - SBY played a staring role in V and dominates most of the game's early and late stages, including a rather epic final showdown with <> Highly recommend it, only problem is that due to rights issues, the English language version was only ever released in South-East Asia. If you have a PS4 or Switch, you can always import it, otherwise you're out of luck unless you've got a trip to Asia coming up soon (it's on Steam, but securely region-locked to only SEA accounts).
