I'm a newbie and have started reading the free quick start guide and feel overwhelmed and a little lost. That's so much info and it's the quick start?! Am I doing this right? I feel like it's a college course and I need to take notes to absorb it. Will that work? I wish I'd played back in college so my brain could categorize and slot this info more easily! Whew. But I'm game!

Do not worry about absorbing everything! I always tell new players that the bottom line for RPing is telling the GM (me) what you'd like to do and I'll let you know what I need (usually a die roll). I'll handle the rest :) We'll learn the system as we go but no matter what the game mechanics say, The 'Rule of Cool' will always be the only 'real' rule at our table :)
