Hello, Legends!

Publishing Information:

  •  'A Quiet Place Part II' arrives this Sci-Friday as we ramp up our Spooky Season Sci-Fi! Also I may be getting a broadcasting partner for the upcoming reaction to 'A Quiet Place: Day One' :)

  • Please let me know any horror/sci-fi you'd like to see. (Note: Event Horizon has been suggested but I am honest to G-d scared of the body horror in that movie. However, if you all think it's not as bad as I'm making it out, please let me know.)

  • Batman: Caped Crusader, while not officially on the schedule, will be dropping as I complete them (similar to X-Men '97).

  • Ditto Terminator ZERO

Patreon Information:

  • Patreon has informed me that at long last they are upgrading my ancient account! You'll see the 'wording' of your tier change slightly (as Patreon removes the 'per creation' designation) but tier benefits and sub rates remain the exact same.

  • I have some original sci-fi podcast content coming in the next few months which I'll be sharing to Patreon first for those interested :)

TTRPG Information:

  • I have a master List of those interested in an Expanse TTRPG campaign and will be putting more information up as we get deeper into Season 4 of the Expanse. I'm hoping to begin pre-production soon (with the hope of beginning our campaign in the next few months). I am currently in the process of inquiring about PDFs and Digital Assets to share with all potential players.

  • Stay tuned for more information very soon! I'm super psyched to play with you all in the greatest sci-fi 'Verse' out there!

May your week be filled with wonder, my friends!

Thursdays can't come too soon. I've probably watched every reactor on YouTube who's done The Expanse, and you're right up there, second to none. Best sci-fi show to ever grace the small screen.

Warp Reactor

Thank you so much for the kind words, my friend, and I couldn't agree more about the Expanse. It might sound hyperbolic to call it 'life-changing' but I stand by it :)

Its probably been suggested already, I would be shocked if it wasn't, the horror-comedy "Tucker and Dale vs Evil" (2010). Another suggestion would be "Equilibrium" (2022). Both are streamable from Amazon Prime. Although, Equilibrium is not free even with Amazon Prime. I was going to suggest "Summer Wars" (2009). However, I cannot find any streaming platform in the US to stream it from. :(

Warp Reactor

I've never seen either 'Tucker and Dale' or ' Equilibrium'! Thank you for the suggestions, my friend!

A couple of Halloween 'Horror' suggestions that are a bit out of the ordinary and avoids going too far down the grotesque path of body horror. I'll try to keep the descriptions vague to avoid giving away too much of the story. 1) The Night Stalker ( 1972) is a made for TV movie starring Darren McGavin and Simon Oakland about a newspaper reporter who stumbles upon a sinister truth regarding some recent crimes in Las Vegas. 2) Vampire Hunter D (1985) is a Japanese OVA, with a very good English dub. Animation is excellent and the main character is the coolest MFer there is. While there is some minor 'body horror', by nature of it being animated helps to maintain a sense of distance I find for most folks.
