Hi everyone,

I’ve recently had a couple people drop off the page, citing “the creator wasn’t engaging like I expected” as the reason. Given that, I wanted to reach out and see what feedback folks had. Since you’re reading this it’s a bit of preaching to the choir, but is there something specific outside of the stories you’d all like to see more of?

Due to the nature of the content on this page I try to respect everyone’s privacy/anonymity. Because of that I don’t do a lot of discussion or forum type posts, but if that’s something people want we certainly can! There’s also the “community” tab where people can always post things as well.  I’m open to all kinds of ideas. Q&A’s? Book clubs? Let’s throw it at the wall and see what sticks.

Since I’m doing this on top of my often-hectic day job I’ve purposely never posted an official release schedule.  That being said, I’ve tried to hold to uploading a story and an interactive chapter each week, with at least a couple vignettes per month on top of that. If you’re curious as to what that looks like I’ve updated each tier description with the number of pages you get. As far as word count, that’s upwards of 50k words per month. For perspective, an average novel is 60k words.  I don’t want someone to ever feel ripped off, but at the same time I can only work so fast.

I want to emphasize that your support is something I absolutely do not, and never will, take for granted. If you ever have suggestions, feedback, concerns, or anything else, you can always message me privately if you don’t want to post it publicly.

As always, thanks for reading and for your support!

You have been consistent with releasing new chapters each week. Maybe it’s the suspense is too much for some.

Of the Patreon creators I've engaged with so far, you're very consistent in both schedule and content. I especially like that you experiment with new tropes so that things don't stagnate. Personally, I'd rather all of your energy go towards writing over Q&As and discussion (not to say that I wouldn't be interested in learning about the person behind the account). Keep up the good work. I'll also add that the survey design on that page is pretty shoddy. Don't read too much into it because "engage like I expected" can mean virtually anything.

That was my initial thinking as well (that time on other stuff is less time writing), but I think I can make it work without taking away. That’s a solid point about the options as well!
