I think the uncanny valley works here, even tho we find Luffy's power silly, in the original the when people see Lufy's power they are crept out and call him a monster. In real life Luffy and Buggy's powers would be some level of body horror and i think they had to choose between playing into it a little or the effects looking too dumb.

Hey, idk if Alicia will see this in time, but can some one warn her there's a huge One piece spoiler, like huge, at the end of episode 4 of the life action. If she wants the surprise she should wait for her to end water 7 arc of the anime, if she wants of course

I love that the One Piece Live Action is its own thing. It doesn't have to follow the anime or manga, bar for bar. The action really impressed me. I thought it was done really well.

alot is re written in this LA but they actually pay soooo much atention to detail the zorro vs mr7 we never saw but zorro talked about it in the ark you are atm or alot of things like cover page storys from the manga in the anime is soooo good im sold

There is a spoiler for something you get to know around the 350 mark of the anime, however there's more to that information than just what is shown in the Live Action, so while if you watch episode 4 you will get spoiled for something, there's more to it that will shock you in the anime, so it shouldn't be that big of a deal. For those who are in the know - Rev. Just... you know. It's not like she'll be getting ALL the information that we get at that point, so I think it's fine to be spoiled on this one thing.

About the captain kuro thing. Remember that kuro explained back in usopp's village that he got tired of the pirate life, so he attacked a random marine ship and killed all but one marine. He then had jango, the michael jackson hypnotist guy, use his abilities on one of kuro's subordinates and the captured marine, to make them believe that that random pirate is kuro and that the marine, aka the future captain morgan, caught him, before sending them off to sea. Thus "captain kuro" was excecuted and declared dead, given the real kuro time to infiltrate kaya's mansion, and earning morgan his promotion to captain.

nah, they simply censored/skipped it in the anime, similair to how the censored what happened to jeff's leg and some other stuff. they were afraid that some kids might try to immitate luffy's action of giving himself the scar, so they removed that scene from the anime completely.

Huh, I appreciate some of these changes. The setup with Zoro and Number 7 relates to when Zoro mentioned that he had some dealings with Boroque Works in the past. Gives us, the viewers, a way to tie in why he knows of them. Luffy giving himself the scar is a little silly, though we have to remember he's a child who wants something and, honestly, it's Luffy. Child Luffy, even worse. haha

For all of those complaining about the "spoiler" in ep4, stop being purists. It won't destroy or ruin anything for her experience. If anything, her reaction in ep4 will likely be the same that it would've been in the 350s of the anime. There is no content related to that character between what she has already seen in the anime and when the reveal comes in the 350s. She is missing NOTHING!

Narative wise, why is she giving him rice balls in the first place. In the anime it's because he gave himself up to protect her and her mom, but in the live action, there's no reason what so ever, and that is my one and only peeve in the entirety of the live action.
