I do not wish to start a huge political fight here so I will keep this brief and then call it day. China IS NOT a real global threat to the U.S. or its NATO Allies, and they are going to grow weaker and weaker every year for the next 50 years starting in 2027. The only real threat China poses is as a nuclear power, but the Chinese will never start a full-scale nuclear conflict because the CCP knows it will equal not just the end of their regime but the end of the Chinese state as a whole. This is also why China has told Russia they are not allowed to use nukes in the fight against Ukraine. As far as the Chinese Economy it will continue to rise and fall until the early to mid 2030s when it will suddenly begin to collapse HARD just as the Japanese Economy did in the in early 1990s. By 2040 - 2050 the Chinese Population and thus military and economic power will fall below that of the U.S. and its Nato Allies. China only has until the year 2028 to prove it is a true global power by attempting to invade Taiwan. Yes, this will lead to WW3 and yes it will be the bloodiest conflict in human history, but it will also be one of the shortest and though China may deal VERY VERY HEAVY casualties to the west the fact is they do not have the capability to win the actual long-term war [even with the help of Russia, North Korea and Iran which yes they will have] and thus they will fail. At this point they can either end the world in nuclear fire or they can accept that their window for global power has closed and that they are doomed to military, political and economic decline until at least the 2070s.
