Zoro and Nami be staying at attention/on guard!~ Bounty hunter fight here is always a fun time especially when the reactor is astute like you Alicia~ Fun Fact of The Post~: 1.) It isn't directly stated but when Zoro reprimands his Sandai Kitetsu (Kitetsu III), he calls it a problem child because it cuts more/deeper than he wants to due to its 'curse'/bloodlust. . . He also did kill a few of the bounty hunters due to this technically, but it's not 'on-screen' since it's fodder XD

DeVaunBeats

I think you completely missed the fact the big reveal at the end was that Ms. Wednesday was the Princess lol

SHOCK

Alicia you missed the new info revealed in this episode that Miss Wednesday is a princess. Big things coming soon.

Ryzsard

did you go backto teh wrong aspect ratio on this one ? XD it should be 16:9 from now on

Buckle up, we're in the Arabasta Saga! One Piece only gets weirder from here. Mr.8 and the other Baroque Works goons are normal compared to characters in later arcs. Don't worry, there'll be more baby bird Karoo to come. Fun Fact: Everything before Reverse Mountain and Laboon (Orange Town, Syrup Village, Baratie, Arlong Park, and Loguetown) was all the East Blue Saga. The Arabasta Saga is the first Saga where we have one overarching main antagonist, Baroque Works, over the entire saga or roughly about the same length of episodes. It's also how majority of the arcs/sagas going forward are going to be.

H.P Fuckcraft

Whiskey Peak is easily the worst arc in the saga and one of the worst in the series, you'll see why next episode.

leviathan_13

I don't understand if you are sarcastic but no, the series is in 4:3 until episode 207. If you see any episode before that in 16:9 it's because there is a HD release that cropped the frames. While most of the time it can be ignored, you still lose part of the image.

The gravestones are a little easter egg: If you read them backwards you get the names of some of the people that worked on the anime at this time.

SHOCK

Most of what happened in Whiskey Peak I forgot after years. Rewatching with Alicia, it starts coming back.

nick

the only real memorable part is the ending of the arc

RohlanDrye

man, i just wanted to say how much fun this has been. I don't have people that ever wanted to share in the one piece journey with me. I've really enjoyed this. Thank you.

Liberty

SPOILER (Don't read this Alicia) If you mean the fight between the lads, then it's easily waved away by the fact that he put himself in the position of "I would beat someone up if they didn't give me my favourite food, so that's why he was so angry!" Then add the whole "But they fed me, so they're friends." It's wholly consistent with his character to go to bat for anyone that fed him. He's waged wars for that reason before! XD So, yeah, it's not THAT unreasonable to believe that after waking up to all the nice people who fed him being dead and x being the cause, he'd be upset. Even he realises it's unreasonable and dumb to kill people over being angry about not being fed the food he likes, which is why he went all out like he did. "Friends fed me. Other friend got angry and killed them because they didn't give him food he liked! How dare you kill my friends over something that dumb! ANGRY RUBBERHULK SMASH!" And, honestly, if that's your only gripe with Whiskey Peak and rate it the lowest of low when certain other arcs exist, I think you're being a bit too unfair there.

Liberty

Don't worry, next episode drives that home pretty well, so even if she did miss this comment too, she'll know.

H.P Fuckcraft

Liberty the problem is how insanely out of character Luffy is in this and it's never acknowledged again, he took the word of a random guy that Zoro is evil and he was literally gonna kill Zoro over it, this same Luffy who refused to believe Johnny when he said Nami killed Usopp because Nami is his friend and she wouldn't do that yet Zoro isn't worthy of the same trust? Luffy never acts like this again, it's just so out of left field and unlike him, really leaves a sour taste in your mouth.

Blackhook

Zoro's best day ever.

leviathan_13

I agee that it's out of character, but I don't think that it's so outrageous. (spoilers) At Arlong Park Luffy refused to believe Johnny's WORD. At Whiskey Peak, he saw the amount of bodies. Sure, he didn't listen to his explanation, but there was no denying what Zoro did and he admitted. It's different than Nami's case, where Nami didn't do anything to begin with. And it's not so unbelievable that you have to set some lines that should not be crossed. A certain mustached pirate did the same on his ship. So in short: out of character? Probably, but I don't think it's that big of a deal, especially in the context of a joke. And I also kind of like that people have a certain breaking point after which you stop being a "nakama". Do also remember that another character also crossed "a line" in W7 that if he did not apologize... that was it, no matter the feelings in place. It's a more realistic approach, imo.

I always forget you’re Canadian lmao. The pepper spray comment is so fucking true. I know more people in my area thatve been bear maced over stupid shit than not

Now that you're out of East Blue, I think it's safe for you to watch/react to the One Piece Live Action Trailer. Heck I'm curious if you'd be into reacting to the Live Action show. It drops next month

Rat #41
