You know, looking back now. I didnt relize that Arlong park was that short. Seemed much longer in my memories but Luffy really did drop Arlong super fast.

Hey, you managed to make it to the end of the East Blue saga! And you have experienced the first bit of "true" filler in episode 45 since the confrontation with Fullbody doesn't take place in the manga ( and funnily enough we're about to embark on "filler" that DOES take place in the manga, only we get to see it fully fleshed in the episodes to come). Fun times are head of us!

So per Oda, Shanks and Mihawk used to spar with each other constantly, but when Shanks lost his arm, Mihawk refused to fight him anymore.

Fun fact about this episode the crew encounter with Fullbody only happens in the anime as for the manga he has his own wacky adventure in a Cover Series that sadly did not get animated in the anime, definitely recommend you take a look at the Cover stories some are super important for the story later on

I didn’t realize other people ate bone marrow till like a year or two ago and was PISSED and VINDICATED! Since I was little I was considered weird cause I liked cracking open chicken and pork bones to slurp out the marrow. My family hated when I did it during dinner 😩

A pirate wouldn't be able to hand in the wanted pirate for the reward, as they would have to get detained too, as they are wanted, so they aren't looking for luffy to get the reward, but for an increase in their own bounty, as thats the badge of strenght among pirates

So cool thing about the bounties in this show is it's like a vague representation of how strong a pirate is. There are some exceptions of course, but more often than not, a higher bounty means a stronger pirate, which kinda makes sense, but it's really cool because each new time we learn about bounties helps you get a better standing of just how strong/influential everybody's gotten, especially Luffy in particular
