In all fairness, Dragon's Dream wasn't the best fight of Part 6, and Araki didn't do the best job of explaining what Feng Shui was. Additionally the choreography for the fight in the manga made the fight difficult to follow. So for a lot of people, Dragon's Dream is a massive low point for them, with the exception of people who understood what Feng Shui was.

So I'm the guy who left the stupid "no offense but" comment Alicia called out i this video. I just want to apologize for how that comment made you feel Alicia cuz I totally meant to say that I love your reactions but I feel that Ant adds something really special and good to JoJo's. I feel super cringe especially because I thought the comment might be taken wrong even as I wrote it and I tried to edit it to show that I meant it from a good place. Thanks for calling me out, I will definitely avoid starting anything with "no offense but" in the future, love the videos!

Ant is absolutely correct, jotaro right now is just a stand without an user, so yeah that was star platinum trying to wake jotaro up, but jotaro is not there, same deal with weather report, emporio said he lost his memories, so he's just a stand trying to find out about his user, that's why he calls himself by his stand name, and why he's so quirky, i.e: standing on his tip toes or whispering to talk

So, I was depressed for 6 years then I took an antidepressant (warning SSRI) called paroxetine; it gave me a psychotic break the first time I took it because I realized that I couldn't NOT be happy (really scary). I immediately got off of it but it gave me that important info of what it felt like to be happy again (I completely forgot) and realized a way to get back to it. I don't know if how I got back to it would help you Ant but what I realized was if I just forced myself to smile when I was alone when I noticed I wasn't smiling instead of just for other people to keep up appearances that I started to become happy; I talked to a doctor about it any they told me how I might've tricked my brain into thinking I was supposed to be getting the chemicals that make you happy by doing this so often for so long (I did it for about 6 months). Nothing else in my life changed other than me forcing myself to smile but I became able to be happy again because of that; thinking about it, I do think it makes sense that if you mimic the emotion's result enough that your brain would attempt to fill in the rest thinking it was a mistake just like with how vertigo works (where it wants to end the uncertainty of the situation by forcing you to push someone off a ledge or to push yourself off a ledge).

I have and I remember the character but forgot the names. Part 8 was a bit of a blur in my memory and I think part 7 was better, but part 8 is more bizarre while 7 is more iconic. What I've read of part 9 is cool. I'm going to wait until it has more chapters before I read it though.

Ant im gonna be real, while getting into specifics about the "science of stands" is really fun, the only thing thag reallt matters is that Stands entirely exist because Araki wanted a physical way to draw supernatural events. its all just nonsense stuff he thought was rad. Any fan who tells you different is being a dick. or they're talking about King Crimson, in which case their confusion and rage are understandable.

Alicia, do yall think after you and ant finish Part 6, yall might read the manga for part 7, since it isn't animated yet, and might make it into videos, reading each chapter or 2 at a time? I'm just asking because it would be cool to do it for other series as well and you could throw in your own things you and ant want to read. Only if you two want to do it

idk about Oedipus complex I think Jojos are just into blondes Erina's blonde, suzi q is blonde, Jotaro's wife is blond, Josuke and Okuyasu are gay for each other so that's one outlier, we don't really see Giorno into anyone, and Jolyne was dating Romeo before the part who's another blonde lmao.
