BTW just saying but 2 things anyone who eats a devil fuirt can no longer swim. You mightve missed that part. Also Laffy can still be cut which just makes him catching the knife just goated.

Surprised nobody mentioned this yet, but in regards to you mentioning possible 'boring filler arcs', rejoice! One Piece, for as massive as its episode count is, has almost NO filler whatsoever with not even a full handful of exceptions(only like 2-3 actual arcs and some expanded/extended scenes in episodes here and there for the most part, but most 'filler' episode actually exist in the manga as part of what the creator likes to do with the title pages for his chapters and making in canon story arcs one panel at a time). And worry not, the incredibly minor amount of filler in One Piece is surprisingly so good in general, that a lot of first time watchers generally get to a certain unliked canon arc and assume that it's actually filler lol

I think if I remember correctly the english translation that they went with in the dub was that the sea would turn against you so I always had the idea that the water itself was trying to drown them but nope it was just you cant swim anymore lol

Luffy isn't invulnerable. He's is made of rubber, so he's pretty fine with being hit with blunt weapons. Clubs, fists, round bullets, regular cannon balls are all pretty much ineffective. However, rubber can be cut by swords, or destroyed in an explosion. Luffy was very much at risk of at least severe injury from Buggy trying to stab him, and maybe also the Buggy Ball (It seems like the Buggy Ball explodes to me, though I'm not sure).

I’d like to ease your worries about the townspeople that buggy would have injured or killed with that buggy ball, Nami mentioned to Luffy while they were eating in some random persons house that everyone in the town has evacuated because of buggy showing up. Still terrible that he just destroyed half the village for a lil giggle but at least there wasn’t anyone there to be hurt anyway (phew!) Straw wHAT TRIVIA! Episode 4 The first chapter of the manga actually covers the events of episode 4 of the anime, but it's not just out of order, there's another big change too. Our introduction to Luffy was in a scene where the first thing he does is stab himself in the face in order to show how brave he is, giving himself the scar under his eye. Yes, he seriously did that when he was 7 years old! Luffy was brave alright, crazy brave. At the start of the anime Luffy is 17 BTW. Another thing the anime left out. When Luffy set out from his island in the "present day" of the series he runs into the same sea monster that ate Shank's arm and he beat it with ONE PUNCH, man. ... eyup. Episode 5 It's BUGGY'S FLASHY FACTS! I'm so great that people should name their kids after me, but for now this will do. In 2021, a gene in the fruit fly species Drosophila melanogaster was named Baramicin A, after me, BUGGY. The gene produces a protein which is split into multiple parts, akin to my Devil Fruit power. FRUIT FLYS!? THAT'S NOT FLASHY AT ALL! Gum-gum get out of here! Now that he's gone here's another fact. Buggy's birthday, August 8, comes from his Devil Fruit's name since 8-8 can be derived from ba-ra. Japanese numbers are complicated eh? if you eat a devil fruit you cant swim and you actively start esentially drownning and losing stamina if you even interact with it on land. it was a blink and you miss it sentance when shanks said it

Id say the animes not for everyone,alot of people prefer the manga just like with naruto since you just make progress at a way more prudent pace and theres not as much filling time and you dodge recaps and replays as much. I myself got about to timeskip back in the day and really think id have made it further in the manga,for naruto for instance i steamrolled the manga then the anime was way more palatable because of it

The smoke isn't so thick here, it made the sky really wierd where it looks white but the sun shines clearly enough to make clear shadows, glad I got an air filter

I have a recomendation. Depending on how much you will like one piece, i would recomend watching two specials called: "eipsode of Nami" and "episode of east blue" after episode 53. They are both 1.5-2h long but are defenetely worth it. Both are just recaps of what happened in the first arc but they are a little diffrent than the regular anime. The animation is newer and the characters look a little more mature/buff but its still very fitting.

If you have an issue with the lenght of those specials just split them up and upload them just like you would do with normal episodes (+\- 20 min). Each character in "episode of east blue" gets its own part. You can just split them into those parts. if you need any time stamps, just ask. Anyway great video.
