I've seen this episode a few times. It has a weird setup at the beginning, but besides that it's pretty good. But this time I actually teared up during the conversation Ai had with her kids before her death. Because of how strong your emotions were and how much you related to the characters, I think subconscously it made me view it as more than just a fictional show meant for entertainment. Great reaction Alicia. Very real :)

I'm so glad you checked this out. Even tho I cried a bit more than the first time I watched this episode, super excited to see your reactions to this show.

It’s not just meant for entertainment. They talk about real issues with celebrity culture very seriously. It’s kind of like BoJack Horseman the anime lmao

Unsaidrumble

Fun fact this takes place in the kaguya sama love is war universe but you probably got spammed with that

I'm really glad Oshi no Ko has so much traction. The dark part of the entertainment industry is such a taboo in media, especially in Japan, that much of it is unknown to the public, which in part ends up enabling those things to keep happening. Who knows, maybe the awareness boost prevents (or at the very least lessen) some bad stuff from happening to some people in the future, even if just a little. In any case! This anime is awesome! I'm in for the ride all the way. It's even better to watch it with someone with more knowledge of the behind the scenes of entertainment than me (not that I had any prior to reading the Oshi no Ko manga kk). I have lots to learn :D

The whole episode was a wild ride, tonal whiplash throughout but it was great. There was one thing that crossed my mind at the end though. A bright eyed and pure of heart girl named Ruby? With some special looking eyes? And her mom died, revealing that her blood was indeed red like roses. RWBY brainrot had been really bad these past few weeks so that's all I could think of at the end (in spite of my crying from AI's death.)

This show is amazing. The near hr and a half runtime flew by

In defense of the creepy doctor, I think the scene with Sarina was more about giving her something to look forward to than anything else. They both knew it wouldn't have a chance to happen.

That show… was absolutely incredible… and that outro… FUCKING SLAPPED. I wasn’t really planning on watching this show initially but consider me SOLD oh my god.

Heard your thoughts at the end of the episode about stalkers, and its that kinda stuff that makes me lose faith in humanity. Yeah, i know some people aren't like that, but the fact is that some are and the potential is there. Also, on the thing about the hard R after u rejected that guy: as a white straight guy, I don't speak for him and think he should die in a fire for being that crap of a person sending his 200k+ followers after somebody he doesn't like. Moral of the story: assumptions and stereotypes bad, stalkers bad, humanity mostly bad.

Thank you for the episode its my first time seeing this! So im first time experiencing it with you <3

I don't know if you'll see this, but I'm brown as well and have been called a monkey many times, once just by being a cashier and other times by 'friends' i had to be cool around. As a guy, I'm sure I had it easier but hearing your experiences this episode means a lot to me. Makes me feel not isolated

KingSnitchGaming

I don't know if anyone pointed it out yet or not (lots of comments lol), but the voice actress for Ai actually went to hospitals to learn how it sounds for someone losing a lot of blood to talk. That's amazing commitment to the role!

dude I was also so tense through the entire episode because of the stalker guy lol it's like they told us there was a bomb and then just put a timer on the screen for the entirety of the episode. I knew it was gonna happen and still just kept hoping it wouldn't lol
