:D This is my final day off then I'm going to try and record again tomorrow! Hopefully we can get some JoJo's in. Going to see how I am feeling pain wise but these past few days of rest have been helping.

The choices to sub their names like that are quite baffling, especially hearing now how the dub keeps their original names... I remember watching the fansubs before the show debuted on western netflix and I think that was honestly the ideal experience.

Subtitles for anime is weird with Rs and Ls like in another one they subtitles say rukakakou, but they say lukako, don't let it confuse you and just say whatever is more comfortable

Katakana to latin alphabet gets gets really crazy in japan too. Its not just Netflix. If author of the show named a rabbit Hal for example. Japanese would read that as Haru. And translator can't know whats her name without actually seeing the spelling in latin. Cuz in japanese manga for example would also say Haru even tho author means maybe Hal lol. Its very chaotic. Thats why autotraslation is very bad.

ofc in this case. Its Haru, think its even written in kanji for spring (Haru) While Legoshi is named after Bela Legosi (hungarian actor), but since they can't pronounce it, they say Regoshi XD Good luck if you ever try learning japanse :D

Thanks for the reaction. Yeah I can see how queen got the idea the Legoshi and Jack are her and CILFs self inserts, the almost synced "I don't know" was priceless XD I know this isn't some grand adventure like One Piece but I'm a bigger fan of these character driven and condensed stories. Feels like the stakes are even higher strangely enough.

That's a result of cultural barriers, No 'L sound' in Japan for example and so Louis is pronounced as Rouis there.

Its cause of the whole difference in accent from language to language. Its common for names going from sub to dub from japan to have the R sound like L or vice versa, much like how spanish the double L should make a the capital L sound in english but in spanish it actually makes the Y sound. Ex. My name, ins spanish is Me llamo, pronounced something ilke ( Meh Ya Mo).
