I'm pretty sure the guy with the mustache was an orc or half-orc or something since he also had tusks. Kevdak is completely bald with no facial hair and Zanror had a mohawk but still no facial hair. I'm pretty sure canonically most male goliaths were bald, some had little bits of hair and thats about it. They probably gave a lot more of them hair to make sure they all dont look like the same generic person when standing with a bunch of others.

Yeah, there were definitely some non-goliaths as part of the herd. The orcs/half orcs, a few humans, and even one female who looked an awful awful like hmmmmmm.....

Also, I love the mirror of Pike having to go do something alone in S1 when Grog is worried and needing her, and this time, Grog is going off to do something alone and Pike gives the I need you line.

Goliaths like Grog as a rule do not have any body hair even head hair is pretty rare for them but not unheard of. The guy with a mustache was either an orc or a half orc.

Not everyone in the herd was a Goliath, there were orcs and halforcs too. Goliaths cant grow hair on their bodies othwr then sometimes like normal hair but its rare.

Fun fact; during the cast's livewatch party of the episodes, Matt talked about how each Chroma member embodied a different aspect. How Thordak (ThorDICK) was the Lion of dragons, Raishan(the green one) was the Serpent, Vorugal(ice one) was the Bulldog, and Umbrasyl... was the Florida dragon.

If nobody has explained it yet, the guy with a beard at the gate is an orc, not a goliath like Grog. There's a mix of races in the herd.
