episodes 1-3 were released at once, with a 2 week break afterward, but released on a normal schedule after that.

They were released weekly, originally on Amazon Prime but recently-ish pit on Netflix. Season 2 will be releasing weekly on netflix and for the first time ever on Netflix they will drop the same day as in JP.

Something that I like is that Askeladd doesn't really take Thorfin seriously in the first duel because he knew Thorfin couldn't hit him with the sword but in the second he starts out with his sword drawn showing he actually thinks Thorfin could get a lucky hit or ready for any suprise attack like the knife throw.

This episode was a big shock, as I actually live on the River Humber, and it's the first time I've ever seen a location I'm intimately familiar with acknowledged in anime. Makes sense as I live quite close to some major historical Viking settlements. 😅
