Ahoy!

Hope everyone's doing well! I finally wrapped up Ashe's model last week which means I'm officially done modeling all of the characters! Well, kinda.

As you can see, our lovely little Ashu-boy is all cleaned up and finished. I'm currently in the process of porting his animations over to his new model/rig which will likely take me till the end of the week (if not a bit longer). It's a bit of an annoying process since I have to adjust and re-export upwards of 200 animations, but at least once I'm done I can start making combo videos again!

After that, I've decided to start working on Ashe's transformations instead of the bosses. This will involve modeling his four different forms, rigging them, animating them, and then putting them in-game. The forms are effectively four separate movesets that you can switch between once you've unlocked them.

I've decided to do the forms next because I'm already in the process of remaking Ashe's model, so I figured I might as well use that momentum towards making his variants, as the forms largely build off of his core design (kind of like a Fusion from Dragon Ball). They'll use the same abilities as base Ashe (with slight tweaks here and there), but their basic attacks, special attacks, and dodges will be completely different (alongside more subtle changes as well).

Truth be told, they'll take a lot of work and will likely be taking me to the end of the year if not early into next year. But once they're done, pretty much all of the game's mechanics will be finished and I can move onto bosses, NPCs, and then levels after that. Whew!

Still a lot of work ahead of us (and this week's looking to be particularly arduous), but we'll get there. Thanks again for everyone who's been supporting the game's development. I know I haven't had a whole lot to show in these past six months or so, but rest assured once I get Ashe back in-game I'll be making combo videos a little more regularly. Until then, take care everyone!
