Hey guys, so I'm putting aside Cersei for the moment, and working on a quick video about the locations and histories of all known Valyrian steel swords.

There are a lot of interesting little stories to tell here – the history of Dark Sister is especially cool, with the sword passing from Queen Visenya to Daemon Targaryen to Aemon the Dragonknight to Bloodraven himself.

I'm tempted to also include a bit about Dawn, the legendary sword of the Daynes, but it's (seemingly) not strictly Valyrian. Will probably cover it as part of a House Dayne video some time anyway..

This video should be quite quick to complete, given that there's little really in-depth research or analysis required. Once it's done, I'll get back to finishing the Cersei vid (:

Cheers!

Good by me. I'd be especially interested in you mentioning Dawn if you look at the speculation that it could be the original Ice.

Great idea:). Each Valyrian steel sword that has been mentioned in ASOIAF like Dawn or Ice seems to have its own unique history behind it. Although one valyrian steel sword in particular that would be fascinating to elaborate on is Blackfyre. It has compelling and highly influential impact on the history of Westeros as it was the sword of Aegon the Conqueror and eventually used by Daemon Blackfyre and his descendants in five rebellions until it disappeared.

I think that's interesting speculation, but honestly I dunno if it's likely enough to be worth mentioning in this vid.. maybe in a later Dayne vid

Yeah Blackfyre is super cool - especially looking forward to talking about how Varys and Illyrio might have Blackfyre, and might give it to Young Griff to bolster his political legitimacy
