Still happy with this video though. Lots of fun to finally talk about Vhagar! And Helaena is a delight – looking forward to more prophecies and/or bug facts.

Did a double take when I heard my name at the end of the video. I thought getting a shout-out was a reward for a high tier, but I guess it's for new Patrons instead? Welp, my name's been immortalised in an Alt Shift X video. Now I can die in peace 🥲 All jokes aside, thanks for another insightful video. Is it difficult to make these videos knowing how the story is going to develop since you've read Fire and Blood? I imagine there's a bunch of foreshadowing and other stuff that you're dying to talk about, but can't since you're keeping things spoiler-free. Do you maybe have any plans to revisit earlier episodes in a later video?

Pour one out for Jace and Helaena, the greatest couple that never was. Rejecting the proposal was probably one of Alicent’s worst decisions. I took Larys’ speech about children being a weakness as a way for him to deflect the blame for killing Harwin—Harwin was at Harrenhal because he got into a fight with Cole, which happened because he was defending his sons. It lets Larys pin his brother’s death on the boys in his own warped mind. I don’t think the show established the stigma against bastards well. It looks like they assumed everyone would remember it from GOT, but GOT kind of gave up on that (and Night’s Watch vows) when Jon became king. So instead Alicent just comes across as being weirdly obsessed with Rhaenyra’s sex life.
