Here’s my conversation with Expanse authors Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck! We talk about The Expanse books, writing, worldbuilding, sci fi, and even some funny tidbits about their friend George R. R. Martin. (GRRM stuff at 1:51:24 and 1:00:39).

There are spoilers for the later Expanse books throughout the conversation. The spoilers are marked as chapters on the time bar on YouTube, so you can avoid them if you want. Alternatively, you can watch this spoiler-free version. The spoiler-free version loses a lot of the content and context, so I'd only recommend it if you're absolutely determined to avoid any spoilers. This is Patron-only for now. But soon it’ll be released as the first episode of the Alt Shift X Podcast. Since it’s so long, I might split it into two parts… And do you think it needs more editing, to cut out slow or repetitive bits? Any feedback would be welcome!

Moving forward, the plan is to release future monthly Patron livestreams as Alt Shift X Podcast episodes (Patrons still get benefits like joining the livestream, asking questions, and early access to the streams). I also hope to have more interviews with authors and creators and fandom people. So two years after announcing it, I think the Alt Shift X Podcast will finally be a thing!
