Alt Shift X will return in September, with content old and new. Here’s what to expect –

There’ll be a Patron vote to choose an ASOIAF video topic – this could be the mysteries of House Dayne, the hooded man of Winterfell, the old gods, Euron’s eldritch apocalypse… comment your ASOIAF suggestions below!

We’ll make a video about the original Watchmen comic, in advance of the upcoming HBO series. Watchmen is an intricate story rich with symbolism and philosophy – and it’s exciting to make our first ever video about a comic book. If the HBO series is good, we could make videos about it as well, if yall Patrons are interested.

We’ll make a video about His Dark Materials, a fantasy series with religious themes and alternate worlds and badass polar bears. I think the first video will be called The Worlds of His Dark Materials, kinda like The Worlds of The Expanse video – a spoiler-free introduction to the world, themes and concepts before the HBO adaptation comes.

In 2020, I’d like to cover Dark and Dune, and maybe more Expanse, as well as ASOIAF. The Alt Shift Podcast will also happen at some point – promise!

So that’s the plan now – new series & ASOIAF. The plan might change, depending on what works and what doesn’t. We’re in a brave new post-GOT world, and everything’s uncertain. Covering new unfamiliar series is hard, and these videos will take weeks to make. But with all these promising adaptations coming out, now’s the time to try some cool new content.

Thanks for your support!

Have you ever wondered about the tweaking of Prince Maekar's nose? Did the Laughing Storm's intervention put Baelor's brother into full tilt? He probably mocked him for how pathetic his sons looked lying in the mud. For real though, I'd love to see any topics from the Dunk and Egg stories that you'd like to do

Hi, is there plans to expand to Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere or The Stormlight Archive in the future. I think it is a great series with a lot to unpack and analyze.
