Dark, Watchmen, Childhood’s End, GOT (Patreon)

Alt Shift X is still on hiatus in July – the Patreon is paused so no one will be charged. But I’m catching up on some TV and books for potential videos.

Dark is a German mystery-drama with an intricate plot to untangle. Could make for a great video – “Dark Season 2 Explained”, maybe?

Watchmen is a classic comic series by Alan Moore. It has some fascinating characters, each with distinct philosophies and worldviews. HBO is making a sequel TV series, so now’s a good time for an analysis of the original comic.

Childhood’s End is an old Arthur C. Clarke sci-fi novel about aliens taking over Earth. It’s not particularly timely right now, but it’s a cool story (with a mediocre SyFy TV adaptation), and might work as an Alt Shift Podcast episode or something.

His Dark Materials and Dune adaptations are also on the horizon. And we could do more of The Expanse?

And we haven’t forgotten about Game of Thrones. When Alt Shift X returns, we’ll hold a Patron vote to choose an ASOIAF video topic – something like Euron Greyjoy’s eldritch apocalypse, the hooded man of Winterfell, Marwyn the Mage… The Winds of Winter hasn’t come yet, but there’s still lots to cover in ASOIAF.
