So the Essos video looks great. It's about 20 minutes long, and explores the strangest and most distant places in the world of ice and fire – from Sothoryos to Ib, Yi Ti to Asshai, and obscure places like Hyrkoon and the Thousand Isles. We cover mysteries like the woods walkers, Lovecraftian black stone, and the Five Forts. And there's heaps of beautiful artwork – additional to the usual TWOIAF and Histories & Lore stuff, there's art from Unseen Westeros – and some pieces are being created for this video by Mandy Finke and drafturgy. So this'll be a real special video. We've paused video production for now, while some of the art's being completed – and will finish the video once everything's ready.

Meanwhile, we're working on the Leviathan Wakes video – an analysis of The Expanse Book 1 and Season 1. We're taking a close look at the plot specifics, straightening out the vagaries of Julie Mao, the Anubis etc, while still keeping the vid accessible to non-Expanse fans. Lots of cool tidbits and references covered here, as well as a discussion of the broader themes around Holden and Miller. We may also get further input from the series' authors... This video will be out in a couple weeks.

Have also been thinking about what to make in the runup to Game of Thrones Season 8. Like maybe we could do a weekly series covering every episode of GOT from S1E01 to S7E07? We should also update some old videos on stuff like Azor Ahai and R+L=J... And summaries/analyses of arcs like Sansa's and Bran's. What GOT S8 content do you guys want to see? Of course, Fire and Blood is coming out a whole lot sooner than GOT S8. Not sure what to expect with F&B, but it'll probably be worth a video or two (:

2023-08-06 17:28:12 It would be great to see analyses of the early episodes right before watching the last ones in february. But it sounds too good to be true. Are you sure you would manage it? I think if you are not sure about time just focus at summary of the whole seasons or do different series (Black Mirror,Better Call Saul etc.). Becasue it would be hella frustrating to see few videos about season 1 and then you have to abandon it for not being able to keep up with other projects. :>

True. Besides, with weekly videos it'd take over a year to cover every episode – there's no time. A video for each season could work..

Weekly series covering every episode of GOT from S1E01 to S7E07!! ;)

Maybe consider tackling them as shorts, say 3 or 4 minutes each? Knock 'em out quicker just hitting the high notes? It'd be nice seeing them presented from your perspective, especially with the benefit of hindsight!
