The Doom update (Patreon)

Our break is over, and the Doom video is coming. It's nice to return to ASOIAF after so long (:

We start, as always, by gathering heaps of text and imagery – from ASOIAF, the TWOIAF worldbook, the AWOIAF app, GRRM interviews, the GOT show, the Histories & Lore features... Anything that might be relevant.

Here's the rough structure of the video so far:

• Intro: Daenerys and Jon as blood of Valyria
• The Valyrian empire
• The Doom
• Magic – delving too deep
• Faceless Men – the gift
• Lannister gold prophecy
• Conclusion: hubris ?

Something like that.

Don't expect hard answers in this vid – the Doom is a mystery. But there are lots of cool possibilities and connections, and some really nice visuals along the way. The vid will be done over the next ~couple weeks, before we move on to The Expanse.
