Hi everyone, I wanted to squeeze in one final video before the end of the month and just barely made it. Here is the next Good Nintentions Gaiden, by request of David Morton: A look at Konami's cult Famicom Disk System import Arumana no Kiseki. I'm disappointed that I only managed to capture about half the game; I hit a point where I became stuck, and couldn't seem to figure out the way forward. But while the game is far from perfect, I see the charm in it. Maybe you will too!

Arumana no Kiseki retrospective: Old-school Indy gaming | Good Nintentions Gaiden #05

By request, a look at another cult favorite Konami game that never made its way west. Arumana no Kiseki (The Miracle of Almana) will remind you of a lot of different Konami NES games... and of a certain movie franchise, too.

Is there any chance this was just a play at getting the Temple of Doom license but unable to get it and they changed it just enough to release as something else?

Konami already had Spielberg film rights with The Goonies – I wouldn't be surprised if something official was in the works with this one but ultimately fell through.
