Hi everyone, the holiday break is nearly over, and I'm getting a head start on real life with another Anatomy of Games post about Final Fantasy VI. In other news, the database for ultra-64.com is now complete! I've also been working hard to finish up the Game Boy World database — about 450 games left until Game Boy and GBC are done, which means it's about 3/4 complete — and work continues apace on the Game Boy World book. The book actually is my main project for this month: I have two more games to cover as videos, a 1989 roundup video, the Patreon exclusive video (a fun mystery topic!), and about five or six text entries to complete before the book can go out. Plus lots of photo editing, text layouts, and revisions. I'm thinking about swapping around backer tier rewards slightly; currently the semi-annual bonus mini-magazines are a lower tier than book PDFs, but I'm thinking about making the books the lower tier so more of you will receive a copy of it. What do you say? Anyone at the mini-mag-only tier who would feel slighted if you got the books instead? (That's 3 big ol' book PDFs per year instead of 2 tiny PDFs, though the mini-mags will be new content and the books are mostly compiled material.) As always, please shoot me some feedback below.

The Anatomy of Final Fantasy VI | 12 | Triple triad (part the second)

Locke and Celes' path takes them from South Figaro back to Narshe. You know this route; you've traveled it in the other direction. The prevailing theme of the game so far has been "retrace your footsteps," and this sequence doesn't disappoint. In this case, you need to pass through the cave between the desert and South Figaro.
