I have heard some bad news about Patreon.


The creator who was drawing anime-style pornographic illustrations was banned from Patreon officials.

If that were the case and similar censorship would be widespread, I would probably be censored as well....

It might be worth considering moving to fantia and pixiv fanbox.

I already use Fantia and Fanbox for Japanese users. However, they are operated in Japanese. I'm looking for an alternative English-language service if I get a BAN by Patreon. For now, subscribestar is one of the candidates.

when I navigate to pixiv / fanbox from the US, I do get english language pages. I even subscribed using a US credit card account on fanbox before.

I believe that Fanbox is not a good substitute for Patreon because of payment methods and genital censorship. After all, it is desirable that the alternative to Patreon be a site other than Japan.
