Hey guys! I hope you are doing good!

I can't believe I'm writing this, but seems that some people actually cares about this.

So in a very interesting twist, people actually seem to care... in a strange way of "not caring." This is stupid to read, and it's more stupid to write, but it makes sense in this way:

Some patrons don't care if other patrons care about this.

Again, as much as I keep reading, I keep finding some stuff that I am either reading between lines or it seems that the social distancing is messing up with my reading comprehension (and this is from a guy who is writing a book...)

From what I thought, it is that some patrons are either doing art previews, like "yoooo you can do this with this model!"

Like for example, the preview reels on Steam Workshop.

I honestly think I like that, but I don't think that's what we need.

There is one strong reason for that: they said it's free publicity, but it's like putting free publicity in an empty lot.

You see, artwork as previews work if you have visibility, however, you are better uploading your art by yourself because you will get more exposure.

If we really want to go forward with this, I think we need to talk with all the involving parts, because I think we all think different about what a preview is.

For some people it seems like art you are able to do, whereas for me, it's a simple image that showcases the features of a model (aside of the generic rig script features of course.)

It kinda reminds me when some people used other software for render their work, upload that render and use it as preview for XNALara. Like yes, to be fair, the model was built to work with XNALara, but if you use other software for preview, then you are not using the render software you are not promoting, which is kinda bad, but is also understandable.

It's the reason why I don't use Photoshop to correct issues on the previews I do. Even if after trying my damnest to fix it and it still deforms like shit, I will show it deforming like shit, but I won't mask it with Post Processing.

So... uhm... what do we think guys?

This was an odd thing to post lol, but yeah, it's mostly because the response totally caught me out of guard. I thought it would be more like "no don't do that ;-;" but instead I got an interesting response.

Anyway, I think that's all for now, please wash your hands guys!
