Hey guys! It’s time for more weird updates!

Sorry for not posting the last week, I had some sleeping issues for the last weeks, so I’ve been feeling pretty tired (I had like, 4 days in a row of around 3 hours of sleep)

So, here’s a few updates you might not care about... well, you might care about the last one:

The Book.

The book is going pretty steady. I’m about to be done with the Materials chapter, which is Day 11. Right now, the book is currently sitting at 193 pages. And I still haven’t added screenshots… I’m starting to get worried if anyone is ever going to bother to read it, but I’m this invested already, so I will continue.

A Model on the horizons.

A few days ago, an Aeris model from the Remake was released. Well, to be fair, a lot of them, but you get point. I remembered Tifa was kind of a big deal when I was building her because of her poly count. I decided to take a look at Aeris and see how much I was going to work and I got scared.

Her face bones are not an issue because I know how to reduce them if it’s needed. It’s her hair what worries me.

Once again, I saw the future last year, and I predicted model builders and SFM content creators cares too much about 4k textures, while they are ignoring the fact that models are increasing its poly count in huge numbers, thus making model building harder and harder.

Also, it seems like Aeris is jumping the ranks in a very fast pace in popularity. I was talking with a patron about her, specifically, this fear I have. I don’t want to use the model the original patron used to submit her, because it’s a custom model. I want to use the current one. The damn hair is what worries me though. If I’m not able to export a functional hair…

That’s why I took the executive decision and skip the model submissions order and give Aeris the highest priority. I want to know if her hair is exportable or not so I can either call it day or use the one from the submission.

That’s all guys. Wash your hands!
