Hello guys! Welcome to the preliminary analysis of the model for the October vote: Bulma.

As always, in every preliminary analysis, I will analyze the features of the base model that caught my attention, what to expect and then try to come up with a difficult to give more or less of an idea how much time this can take. So, let's jump right on it!

Textures.

First look into it, we notice right away the texture only have two features:

  • Flat color.
  • Flat lines to add detail.

Thankfully, with some blending techniques, we can avoid to have to draw those lines and without ending up with that look from Borderlands while also preserving some skin details from the regular Daz textures. Also, this is true for all textures, all of them are flat colors.

Small mouth.

When models have a small mouth, there's a risk of weird deformations using flexes. Fortunately, she have lip bones distributed on her mouth, which also follows to the next one.

Weird rigging

This pic is updated mostly, it still needs more verification, but holy crap her bones had a really weird hierarchy. Normally, eyelid bones are independent, however, in this model's case, her top eyelid bones where child of the bottom eyelid bones. Yes. The bottom eyelid was the parent. This means if you move the bottom eyelid bone, the top one will also move for some reason.

Eyes.

Oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boi oh boi oh boi.

If you have checked my other HW models, you will find that all share a same peculiarity: their eyes don't look 100% ok.

Something regular from HW models is their eyes are practially unexistant: they are only a plain with a sticker of the iris. In this case, I don't know if we have it better or if we have it worse, but the eyes is divided in 3 different models:

1) The recipient. Is where the eyes are going into.

2) The Sclera, which is literally a white plain.

3) And the eye, which is literally a sticker. If we remove everything, is just that.

I don't have a clue how to make this eye posing possible, but is going to be a hard task, and an interesting task.

As for the outfit

Is pretty straight forwared really. I might give the dress a full flat color because I'm pretty sure after fitting, the creases won't make any sense.

For a veredict, I think this model is going to be pretty straight forward, even though I'm worried about her lips and the eyes. I can see myself breaking a sweat trying hard for those things to work properly.
