I will say I’m not a fan of the ending and the series definitely was rushed towards the end of this 💀definitely biggest bs ever imo. Still love the show.

I absolutely love this show. But the anticlimactic feeling when we resolve the Zeref situation and this is what comes next is so real. Zeref was an amazing villain. His arc, his character, his backstory, and how he was defeated, it's all beautifully done. It's built up over 100's of episodes, he's mentioned first way back in episode 5 I believe, close to that at least. We get plenty of backstory on him, he's one of the most interesting characters with either being a cold killer, or caring and killing everyone involuntarily. To me he's just the best villain in fiction. So, when you compare him to how dirty they did Acnologia, it just feels really anticlimactic. His backstory and the resolution of defeating him all get's crammed into 4-5 episodes. He deserved his own GMG length arc, maybe even with another training arc or two in between this one and that one. All the groundwork is there. He is super badass until these final episodes. It's my favorite show, but everything at the end is so unnecessarily rushed. Non of the relationships that are very clearly alluded to get their proper resolutions. And neither does Acnologia. Im glad we have 100 year quest bcz the relationships deserve their proper endings, and hopefully we might get that. But Acnologia was done dirty. No way around it.
