So just an FYI, excluding all the other singularities that didn’t get adapted into animes from the game you guys have technically only finished Part 1 of Fate/Grand Order! Yes, I’m not joking, there is also Part 1.5 aka “Epic of Remnant” and Part 2 which are the Lostbelts. Part 1.5 is much smaller than Part 1 and I don’t know if it will get anime adaptaions. Part 2 is much longer than Part 1. The power scaling and storytelling goes through the f*cking roof in this part. Take this with a grain of salt, but there have been rumours that they will adapted the best Lotsbelts into animes at some point. Which mean we’ll probably get to see Lotsbelt 6 animated in all its glory!

The movie was mostly fanservice to the playerbase of the games. A lot of it you might not understand or appreciate unless you play the games unfortunately. And Gil did play a huge role in the game, just a smaller role here (he basically solos one of the Demon Gods in the Game. :) ) As for Fou, there is a LOT missing here and they kind of do Fou a bit dirty by reducing his emotional scene in the game to a credit scene. But it was Fou that saved Mash. It does play out at the beginning of the credits if you really want to see it, but SPOILERS. Fou is basically another Beast of Humanity (Like Tiamat and Goetia) which is why everyone in Babylonia was like 'WHY ARE YOU TRAVELING AROUND WITH THAT THING!?'. It basically trades away its intelligence to bring Mash back to life. Very short explanation.

Tbh Last Encore was kinda bad bad. Even as someone who played Extra, I was disappointed (and also a bit lost at the beginning) so I can't imagine what it would be for someone who didn't. I can't for the life of me fathom why instead of adapting the game they choose to do an hypothetical sequel parallel-verse thingsy

I do hope if they ever choose to animate LB6 that they'd do kinda the same thing with the singularities and somehow adapt the prologue. On contrary to singularity F there isn't enough for a movie there but even if they don't want to continue with LB1 to add enough of content, at the very least a special episode maybe ? 'Cause without that Anime onlys would be so so lost

If you guys liked Fate/Zero and Unlimited blade works, you should really enjoy Oath Under Snow. I personally have it as my second favourite Fate movie just after HF3 It’s a part of an Illya spin off that I wouldn’t recommend but the movie can be mostly watched on its own without any context to main series it’s a part of

Fou is actually Beast 4. You guys were wondering who the others were after Tiamat being Beast 2 and now you learn Goetia is Beast 1. Well Fou is Beast 4. At the end Fou uses up all his power to bring Mash back to life and give her a normal lifespan

Another thing. The reason why Fujimaru could summon multiple servants at the end was because Gilgamesh replenished his limit, this is why the whole thing turned yellow/gold. Also it was cut from the movie but basically Gilgamesh was off screen solo-ing demon god pillars lmao

About Jeanne, this Jeanne is different from the one we see in Fate/Apocrypha, her character was pretty horribly butchered in that. She is written much better in fate grand order, even though it is surprisingly by the same author. The author of Fate/Apocrypha improved a lot since then. Regardless, Fate/Apocrypha never happens in the fate grand order timeline, we just happen to see some servants that were in Fate/Apocrypha.

Yeah they don't explain it here which is annoying but Fou is another beast. Specifically Beast 4: Cath Palug aka Primate Murder. Most of the other beasts don't show up in any anime they are in games or other material. The ones we know of are obvi beast 1 (goetia), beast 2 (tiamat), the beasts are like servant classes as they have many possible candidates but I think only one can exist per concept at a time. like if beast 1 is still around there will be no other beast 1s made. for example beast 3's sin is lust and can be Heaven's Hole (beast 3/r aka Devil’s Bodhisattva) or Kama (beast 3/L, thats part indian goddess) or beast 6 which is the sin of depravity and can be the whore of babylon/beast of sodom or the beast of 666. beast 7 is the main antag of the second part of the game. beast candidates are beings that have the potential to become beasts. the angry mango/black mud that corrupted the holy grail in fate/stay night is a beast candidate.

Spoiler - Fou was originally with Merlin in Avalon, its true identity is Cath Palug - a monstrous cat in Welsh Mythos. In the 7th singularity it used its power to save Ana and Mash. What happened in the Final Singularity, when Mash died - Fou (Cath Palug) used all of his power to save Mash but in doing so, he is just an ordinary cat now with no memories or power.
