Now that you guys are here I can tell you this really cool bit of backstory. When they were casting for the movies, they wanted Alan Rickman to play Snape, but Alan didn't like the character after reading the first book, he thought Snape was a horrible person. But JK Rowling even thought that Alan would be perfect for Snape... so she visited Alan on a personal visit and told him and him aloe what her ultimate plan was for Snape's arc; Alan then agreed to play Snape. Then throughout the movies, he'd often overrule the director about certain decisions about Snape, saying it would fit into the character of Snape in the long run. Alan was the only one aside from Rowling who knew the truth of Severus Snape

A couple other things I remembered as it finished. First is the 9 3/4 coincidence. The books took 9 3/4 years to complete as well as the movies. The other thing is that the kid who played Albus Severus Potter is the same kid who played Baby Harry in the first movie. Lastly the Patronus. Snape's patronus was originally a snake but after Lily died it changed to a Doe, which was Lily's Patronus. It was meant to symbolise his eternal love for Lily and that in her place, he would be Harry's greatest protector.

You should watch Lord of The Rings

Lukastace NovaSword

the spell harry used on the goblin, imperio, is one of the three unforgivable curses, the imperius curse, next to crucio and avada kedavra

Lukastace NovaSword

"it's that easy to break?" definitely not. the elder wand's probably the most powerful weapon in the world- it cant just break like that. in the books harry put it back in dumbledore's tomb and then wiped his memory of it so no living soul would know where the wand is. dont quote me on that, i remember him putting it back in dumbledore's tomb but cant remember if he obliviated (to remove one's memory) himself or not.

Neville L

He did not wipe it from his memory. I actually like the movie version better for this; Harry always wanted to be an auror, a job in which you are very likely to be disarmed. If someone disarmed him, they would become the master of the elder wand. I love the books, but always felt like this was a slight oversight. Better to destroy it and be done with it forever.

Lukastace NovaSword

while i agree with to an extent, i feel like the impact in the movie is lessened since they mention the term auror like 3 times throughout all of them💀 they barely talk about how harry wanted to be an auror even though it was a pretty big thing in the 5th book when he took his OWL exams i still agree, it's good to destroy the wand, though i wish both the movies and book versions met in the middle where he got rid of it but it was shown to be more than a little hard to destroy the elder wand given how powerful it was

Incase yall didn't know when Snape escaped after fighting McGonagall he took both the Death Eaters wands along too after knocking them both out with the fire spell. Narcissa protected Harry cuz Harry protected Malfoy

I've skimmed through most of the beginnings of these movies with you guys and I REALLY wish the one guy (dont know your names) explained which movies he's seen exactly and how long ago it was or if he even remembers anything. Your reactions are as if you've never seen these movies but you literally said you did while saying "so I know quite a bit about them" so to ME it seems like your reactions are fake? could the guy im talking about please explain this? I want to feel like im watching a genuine reaction.

Vengenz

Dude! My guy! Stop fucking spoiling shit to seem smart. We all know you've seen the movies before, but your friend hadn't, and you didn't let him be surprised because you kept saying what would happen before it happened. It's so transparent, and annoying.

Stella Keil

I can't believe that after all this time the Harry Potter fandom still can't make their mind up about the question, whether Albus Dumbledore was a good person or not. It's been so many years and we still argue about it. In my opinion it is pretty obvious and I think that if you have all the information (especially from the books), you should definitely come to the conclusion that he was. Dumbledore was a guy with a complicated past, who became the most powerful and wise wizard of all time. He later used his power and genius to fight Voldemort in every way possible. He is not cold and heartless, but rather doesn't let his emotions get in the way of the greater good. He loved Harry, but saw what had to be done to defeat the most dangerous threat the wizarding world ever had to face.
