This anime is adapting a light novel that is still ongoing, and I don't think even than fans know where this takes place, but is probably still an alternate timeline. Will you guys watch a 6 min teaser trailer? It was uploaded like 5-6months ago, somewhere on the Aniplex USA youtube channel.

I did some research and it indeed does take place in an alternate timeline to that of Fate/Stay Night. Think of it as a different route but in the future since we see an older Waiver compared to Fate/Zero.

I don't see point in reacting to a 6 min trailer which covers the main highlight of the hour long special episode. They'll just be spoiling themselves. Honestly they should have taken our word for it and not watched the trailers at all and gone in blind.

come on it wasn't that bad, sure it's absolutely the lowest of the franchise, but that's because of the Author didn't know how to write at the time. also some of the characters in apocrypha will appear in Fake/Strange Fake. well if they'll adapt that much of the novel.

It was pretty bad. Had a lot of potential where seig could learn the multifacet of humanity by interacting with: A man feared as a monster, a monster never treated as a girl, a son born for her mother, children aborted in the river, one who lost his divinity and who kept it. One who had a weakness and another punished for it. Etc etc. This roster is a perfect to way to explore seigs humanity. What we got was hand me down power ups and no determination until the end. It could have worked ...if seig was like waver who learned from the war but not the main character.

yeah absolutely agree seig is worst protagonist in the fate franchise by far, the only reason that kept me watching that show were the servants and mordred and her master (also the fights, but that's it)
