I would love to see the reaction to episode 226. But as for the filler arc it’s definitely skippable. Personally it’s one of my least favorite arcs

The eclipse spirit arc is Canon and not a filler arc

yesss, glad we're on to the next arc! There were a few individual fillers that were worth it, but I'm not mad at cha for skipping those as well lol.

I actually hate the coloring of this arc, you're right about it being dull and muted, It kind of bugs me, but it will go back to a more normal color scheme after this small arc.

I'm pretty sure it was a directorial decision from Mashima here, since this arc is a prelude to Tartaros and it's aim was to somewhat show the calm before the storm, Tartaros was the darkest arc the series had up till now so it makes sense that they're setting the tone with dull dark colors

Kinda sad you skipped the canon filler along with the arc. The noncanon arc is absolute garbage, but the canon episodes 219 and 220 are two of my favorite of the whole show.
