if you look back in fate/zero, gilgamesh actually had an exchange with ishkandar in the bridge when ishkandar asked gil to ally eachother. and gil said he had only one friend in his life, and will only ever have one friend which is enkidu😊 also one thing to note, this gilgamesh is quite different from archer gilgamesh. this is the wise king version of gil, the one that has gained wisdom from his journey of the herb of immortality after enkidu’s death. also this gil is much weaker than the archer gil, since he gave most of his treasury to the people for combat and artillery, keeping only magical staffs for fighting, thats why as you can see he only used staffs to fight rather than his usual weapons
