Minerva definitely got what she deserved in this arc, that's for sure. I wish they would have showed more of the fight between Laxus and Jura, we know Laxus is awesome, but it definitely needed more drama before it ended. But we know all Fairy Tail members can take a hell of a beating, so I totally believe that Laxus could pull it off.

I’ll admit the fight was slightly disappointing when I first watched it. My favorite Jura fight will always be against Jellal/Mystogan. That fight was well choreographed

laxus has always been a beast, but you can still see like he didnt beat jura like it was easy, he beat him high diff and it took a lot out of him but he used secret dragon slayer art, thats usually a wrap, besides laxus is probably the strongest on both of the fairy tail teams at the moment

The smile Jura gave when he went down makes me think mans just gave up to Laxus's will cus like Jura said all tournament he didnt even want to be there forced by old hag and Laxus satisfied him enough with his final attack cus he would've been done if Jura stood up after that secret dragon slayer art

To be fair to the Princess: "She believed in us so little us winning was proof someone knows the future" isn't really fair :P I think it's one of those things were you really have to recognize your knowledge as a viewer, leave it behind and compare it to her knowledge as an in universe character. Fairy Tail, the undisputed last place every SINGLE time last place looser. Remember the GMG only started after we lost the Tenrou team, and this would be I believe the 5th games and Fairy Tail has always been last. To go from that, to 1st place Winner, clean-sweep of the last event, beating Wizard Saint Jura, Sabertooth Leader Minerva. And then Sting, one of the Twin Dragons of Sabertooth not just loosing but SURRENDERING WITHOUT T A FIGHT would be absolutely insane.
