Today we're going to delve deep underneath the ground and visit the depths of Darchlight Caves.

Okay, okay. Chapter 10 has a lot of problems. Problems with itself and problems it creates later.
What are these problems? Well, for one... Nothing really happens? I mean, yes, Darchlight Caves' events  with Flora, Florin, and Erin are a thing. But like... It's uninteresting. It always has been. Almost as if it's just another sidequest. It doesn't connect to other chapters the same way others do. It doesn't have to be that way.

I think I was under the assumption around the time of Chapter 10's original release that "more = better". So I decided to have three branching paths. Problem is, most people either chose Erin or Flora. Florin does not hold up enough to warrant his own branch and a lot of that has to do with his lesser role in the overall story. That does not change. However, what is changing is the number of routes. Erin and Florin's routes are merging into a singular one.

Sooo...

What are the objectives for this then? What am I trying to accomplish? I feel like Chapter 10 is the pivotal moment to do a couple of things:

- Flesh out Flora's character on her route (and other routes)
- Give a better understanding on Bladestar's background.
- Give Florin more time to shine.
- Condense Darchlight Caves, dear god.
- Expand on the theme of Darchlight Caves, and its existence due to Black Shards.
- Other Secrets.
- Start the branch of Florin's bad end from inside the cave, and not with the conversation with Cassandra.

Overall, Chapter 10 was always meant to be set up for the future chapters, but it actually sets up very little. There's no overall point or "accomplishment" besides Flora getting arrested (Determinately).

Oh, and of course, here are a few screenshots of Darchlight Cave(s)

But that's all for this week! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend + rest of the week. Thank you for supporting me and have a nice night :)

Some pretty cool changes! Yeah I think Darclight caverns was one of the first times the game started to drag a bit. I think the amount of backtracking you need to do when you're stuck on the switch puzzles ( with random encounters, and no easy way to stack up on repels) made it feel a bit tedious. Excited to see more of Flora/Florin and whatever else you've got in store!

Additionally! Encounters have been taken out of the puzzle room. Run around to your heart's content!
