As noted before, Kraken Octolings are designed to handle large weapons - by temporarily implanting them into their limbs. Through the special ink, one can partially liquefy their arms (and legs) in a process akin to the Zipcaster Special skill in Turf War sports. 

Using these elongated ink limbs, the Kraken Octoling can grab a nearby weapon to attach to their body, most commonly the arms and shoulders, but there are scenarios where one can attach weapons or tools to their feet.

Due to their giant size, ordinary weapons would obviously be too small, so specialised ones were created for their use. The pictured examples are the Mega Splatling on her right arm, the 5200 Gal on her left arm, and the Penta Warhead Launcher on her left shoulder. The targeting computer on the ink tank helps her find her targets, spotting them with pinpoint accuracy.

For safety reasons, the weapons can only be used for a short time (it varies per weapon. Melee weapons have a longer time limit), and thus the Kraken Octoling should swap them out regularly. Not necessarily for the risk of damage to the equipment - but to temper the ink-lust of the warrior herself, as the ink has an addictive quality that excites the pleasure centers of their brain in the midst of battle.
