I'm having a hard time figuring out how reducing the viewsize cvar offsets the vertical position of the 2D renderer, making the engine crash. It seems to be caused by some indirect computation that is being hard to track down due to the complexity of the 2D GUI code. It's silly that something seemingly so simple is being so difficult to fix.

This gives me an urge to trash the whole 2D GUI code and rewrite it from scratch, which is something that's needed anyway. But it pains me that I simply don't have enough time to do that anymore. I'm already two hours late to my job today thanks to the time spent trying to fix this bug. It's incredibly frustrating.
