The intermission crash was fixed. It was caused by the player's modelindex being set to zero in the qc gamecode, which caused the client-side player entity to have a null model pointer, and there were several instances in the code that tried to access the model's fields without checking if the model existed.
By the way, I've also fixed some semitransparent models being not rendered at all in some cases.
