Donna's story is so sad, and the Doctor having to leave Rose again and being alone... it overshadows how wonderful Rose and the other Doctor's story ended. Rose got her happily ever after. If I were in Donna's shoes, though, I would have preferred to die than go back to who she was before the Doctor.
