"I want to be alone" is a shout out to Greta Garbo in Grand Hotel from 1932, and Hoity Toity was modeled on Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away earlier this year. This episode had one of my favorite songs from season 1, although Winter Wrap Up was amazing. And as someone in the professional service industry myself (lawyer), this episode hits very close to home. I have some clients who have very strong, but ultimately unhelpful opinions about certain things that are in my professional expertise. But I play Rarity anyway, until they're about to do themselves actual harm and I have to bring out my inner Applejack.
