anyone tried printing this with TPU?

Anonymous

They should get glasses!

Anonymous

i would bet the holes are compatible with the glasses they made on the pumpkin man model! or they look close to in the picture, but its worth a try

gpapazac

they fit i already did it:) Just scale them 130% and they are fine. They need a little push. I made them also in 135% but i like the 130% better

Anonymous

The 135% works better for me bc they fit a little tighter and I won’t have to worry about them falling out. I’d say the glasses add a really nice touch Edit: Tried 145% and it's much more snug and I like the oversized glasses look

It failed but not bc of the print more bc I was excited and forgot to button up settings but redoing it now it went well up to the head and it failed but the legs and everything attached and worked great, also I don't have white tpu I have a clear tpu which I was thinking of doing next

Thanks! Just a feedback, in future, can we get a .zip to download all files at one go? :)

Is there not one with hat nose and scarf or am I missing it?

jbishop .design

If you advertise showing the hat, scarf, and nose we really should get that considering we are paying...

Anonymous

these kinda look like chickens, can you do one without the arms and a top hat please!

Anonymous

You do get those, just not coloured. Snowman_Nose_keychain_v2.stl has hat, scarf and nose.

You could give it a light misting with white spray paint on the inside of the legs i usually do this to clear filament to get a weird 4th dimension type look vase and fully hollow stuff looks amazing im usually not using white though .

Some honest feedback on the eyes. They work on the ghost but on the snowman they look kind of scary like they’re zombie snowmen who are out to kill you! 😂

What is the best way to get the legs to come free and to get the support material to come out, so the legs go in all the way?

Anonymous

I print mine without support. The legs just drop out once I pull it off the build plate.

Anonymous

I would print without support and make sure you have cooling enabled.

Anonymous

I have supports turned off, but for some reason, there is a small amount of filament that is around the top of the legs. The ghost and gift and tree all came out fine, just this one.

I printed out the snowman without the hat but with a scarf only. My wife painted him into a cute lil penguin. Worked out perfectly! Not sure how to post a pic of him.

Does anyone else have a problem with their body staying attached to the bed? I've had a couple work but many more failures. Think it's just so little material upfront trying to hold it down. Seems the big ones work, but 150% and under usually fail.

I have a Bambu Labs X1 Carbon. I have "painted" and printed a few of the models. The wife wants one of the snowman with the feet painted. I have been struggling with the slicer to do it. Can any one tell me how. Thanks

Anonymous

Hello All - just printed these on a Sidewinder. Having trouble standing them up. The legs tuck back to the body. What can be done to improve - I used the rectilinear infill at 30 - would that make a difference? Thanks!

Anonymous

When you paint in Bambu slicer there is a slider for section view it will push back the model and allow you to see inside. 'Section View' will change into 'Reset Direction' when you use it, which will allow you to rotate the section you are viewing.
