Ooh, here's an idea: a girl trick or treating gets 'candy' from a very suspicious and 'off' looking lady...yeah its monster eggs that look like candy :V

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is an Egg Hag.

Egg Hags are among the plethora of horrifying witches within the universe, existing mostly in the Dreamlands, and possessing strange and horrible supernatural powers. Usually deriving from witches that control fertility magic or whom summon creatures to do their bidding, Egg hags are large and grotesque creatures which appear to be ovular egg like things with arms and legs dangling loosely from their bottom most point. Their skin feels like an egg shell, and seems to be much more durable than an average egg as they can take quite a bit of punishment before anything cracks their shell. Their limbs seem devoid of bones because of the way they contort and bend and seem to move almost like a noodle or worm.

Egg Hags possess much arcane knowledge, and they have strange spells, like all witches, and are known for inflicting horrifying curses on creatures, such as causing their bodies to run feverish and to discharge a yolk like combination of blood and mucus from all of their pores as their skin hardens and they become more brittle. On some occasions they can curse a woman to become barren, or to become exceptionally fertile to the point that it becomes dangerous, and often times the creatures these cursed women birth are horrible monsters or egg like beings. They can summon creatures to fill empty spaces, and animate eggs as creatures which do their bidding, and moreso they can conjure eggs which hatch into horrible monsters of varying types which carry out their evil goals. Unlike most witches and Hags, Egg hags tend to have a limitless number of familiars, and they can see through the eyes of all of their egg hatched followers. They also possess extreme strength, and the ability to fly rather swiftly. Something with which they use to chase down and man handle their foes. Finally, they can vomit fourth a mixture of yolk and blood, and even another large egg, which is harder than steel. This egg will, in the event of the Hag's death, allow her to be reborn anew.

The eggs that they craft can contain various monsters and magic, and can be made of nearly any material. Many are ornate, and some are edible as in this image, as this hag made her eggs of chocolate and hexed them to be supernaturally delicious to trick young ones into eating her monsters and becoming filled with creatures ready to break free. The eggs can also contain spell effects which trigger when the egg is broken, or in the general area of the egg, and they sometimes gift ornate Faberge eggs to kingdoms or aristocrats that contain curses to afflict their families and visitors.

These hags tend to create large nests, which look like actual nests, and they send their minions to do their bidding, tracking down the innocent and draining them of their hopes and dreams to feed the Hag. On many occasions an Egg hag can pretend to be an actual egg for an egg laying creature, and become protected by the creature which is supernaturally compelled to believe that it is it's child. They rarely confront enemies directly.

Also pictured here, other than Victoria whom seems to be in quite a pickle that her tummy has gotten her in once again, Is a creature known as a Nightmare of Uncertainty, an Anx, or an Anxiety Spider. These small, black fuzzy creatures tend to appear as a small fuzzy looking void of space with a single eye and a number of arms and legs protruding from within it that varies from 8 to 18, as well as two small arms with 3 fingered claws. They vary in size from 5 inches to 2 feet tall. Anx are skittering things in the Nightmare realms that seem to feed on anxiety and subconscious feelings of worry or doubt. They are a fairly low level dream creature, as they tend to feed on creatures while they sleep without waking them, however they sometimes wake the creature to induce a feeling of anxiety if they are without one. Their appearance is anxiety inducing, solely because of how strange it is, however, it is believed there is a supernatural element to it, and that they psychically enhance the feelings within a creature. Being fed on by an Anx won't kill you usually, unless you are a very young or defenseless creature, but it will worsen any mental stress you may be under. Multiple Anx, or a small swarm of them that move like a black, blinking carpet however, may overwhelm a creature and drive it insane while also using their tiny non existent mouths to bite into the enemy and tear apart small, non-bleeding chunks that nip away at the creature as if they were a piece of clay, leaving purple bruises and void patches of skin. When they consume your feelings of dread and anxiety, they sometimes take snippets of memory with them and the more they feed the more memories they can take, sometimes swarming creatures and leaving them as amnesiac husks, unable to wake up.

Anx are a constant sight in the dreamlands and within the Nightmare realm as they are scavengers, following the big predators as they kill creatures, or working as familiars for other creatures as they can store and drag memories and feelings back with them to their spellcaster. Some grow larger than 2 feet tall and can become much more dangerous, becoming a horror of arms, legs, and eyes that trigger anxiety attacks in any creature that spots them, or on occasion may grow a mouth from feeding on the dreams of others, at which point they are called Grinning spiders.
