One or more humans, who have been parasitized by different type of stuff or the same type of parasite. its could literally be seen on the host through the almost devoured head or the eyes which will come out of the head, like some parasite. We could even use either a centipede as a design or something close to Eldritch Horror as a design, like the Mi-Go. Its could even have consequences on the body which will decompose or be modified. (It will be interesting to create some kind of parasite that can easily fit into the horror eldritch beast, especially since I have a fear of parasites.) XD

Great Idea! I posted the Cymothoa Infested Earlier in October, and made a slight reference to these guys, but now I can cover them in full!

These are Daemonifer, Sometimes known as the Infested.

When the people of Cxolazshtgaz (Kicks-laz-ta-gaz), or Coasta, emerged from their seclusion, showing that they had made some sort of magic bond with the oceanic parasites that had began washing up on their shores, the neighboring kingdom of Volshukyr (Vol-Shuck-Ear) were distraught. Though many of the neighboring nations did not trust the people of Coasta, the people of Volshukyr were more than just distrusting of the symbiotic clan as they had competed for resources and trade routes for over 100 years and if their rivals had indeed gained powers from these creatures, they were going to be quickly defeated and strong armed into subservience. Try as they might, even through hiring spellcasters to protect their land from the encroaching Coasta clan, they quickly lost trade deals and land alike as the people of Coasta crept ever closer with their settlements. Seeking a way to bind with the creatures just as they had, the leaders of Volshukyr began to delve into dark magics and began searching for ways to turn the tide within black market traders and were able to obtain a dangerous item known as a Cambion Cradle. A Cambion Cradle is an ancient storage unit for demonic souls and devilish powers that warlocks and sorcerers use to confer with beings from beyond, or to summon and demand power from the demons within, and it's believed that Succubi and Incubi used these devices to aid in procreation in attempts to create extremely powerful offspring.

With this artifact the leaders of the town participated in a ritual to bind the inhabitants of the cradle to those within the city to grant them great strength and power, however they did not know the true and horrible nature of demons, and in their ritual they doomed the town to untold horrors. Though not everyone in the town was initially affected by this, many were possessed by these demons, implanted into their souls and bound to them fighting for survival.

The town initially fell ill with a great sickness, a throbbing of the head and the eyes with blurred vision, and as it progressed the people began to act on their most vile and obscene thoughts as they began with bouts of horrible rage and cruelty. Crime began to skyrocket within the settlement and soon stories of people's eyes pulsating strange colors and bulging out of their heads became normal, and finally, the murders began. Men, women, and children alike would stand with vacant stares and begin killing those around them with whatever items they could grab on to. Their eyes pushed out of their sockets and their faces swelled. They would shamble and lumber around as their eyes, inflated and undulated from their heads, leaving them to cry out in rage and pain.

The neighboring nations began to be attacked by the swarm of devil possessed that escaped the town and shambled to neighboring locations, and the other leaderships of settlements declared war on the possessed city, as well as quarantining a large portion of the plains they lived on as well as the woods nearby. Stories of demon possessed undead like abominations attacking travelers and merchants were commonplace, and the public feared the horrid descriptions of rotting and decaying bodies, limping toward them with massively distended heads, stretching toward them like slugs as their eyes danced with a strange and dazzling display of color. And even worse were the ones who's throats would rupture and tear away as a coiled mass of bladed limbs emerged into an enormous centipede like figure would lash out wildly.

The Town has since been completely walled off, and anti demon measures have been taken in the area to keep them mostly contained within, where they continue to spread their possessed nature and cultivate more demonic activity, and it is even believed that they've ripped open a portal to hell there...

Though this location is the most common, the creatures known as Daemonifers aren't only found there, and they can be found literally anywhere. A Daemonifer is one who is possessed by a low level demon. Usually possessing a low level of intelligence, and a lack of power, they are able to slowly infest the minds of a creature and begin tricking them onto doing terrible things. The more they give in and feed on the suggestions, the more the demon can meld with them and begin to manifest, growing in their head and bulging out through their eyes in a manner similar to the Leucochloridium Paradoxim worm that infests snails. They infest the eyes and feed on the brain, mutating the body until they begin to take on slug like characteristics, mostly with their faces stretching out and their bodies beginning to move sluggishly. This is because of the disconnect they face as they are technically dead creatures after a while, held captive in their own minds.

The Demons use these shambling, zombie like bodies to feed their lust for sin, attacking others and beating them to death as well as feeding on their bodies and possibly souls. They aren't extremely dangerous, being rather slow, but they do have strength, stamina, and durability beyond that of an average  man, and they can hypnotize those that look at them with their dancing colorful eyes that pulsate swiftly. In groups they are far more dangerous, taking on pack tactics and swarming enemies in the same way Zombies do. Though the demons that cause this are low leveled demons, some of them can begin to evolve and become more powerful while within the human. They may do so from eating too much sin, feeding on chaos and violence, and corruption, and they begin a process known as Emergence. This is the same process that Lemures such as Succubi go through after gaining enough power, however it is unlikely for the Daemonifer to reach this point and therefore it is often times unprecedented to see such a creature unless situations are dire and many demonifer have been left to revel in their violence for too long. They break free from their bodies, and become centipede like entities stemming from the body. It gains extreme range with it's new neck, and also increased mobility as it can now climb walls and trees more easily. They are known for poisoning enemies with their terrible venom, and tearing creatures to shreds with their bladed claws, constricting them and ripping them apart as they hypnotize them, and some also have long centipede like protrusions or tentacles that begin to emerge from the rotting human flesh. Some are said to even be able to conjure up hellfire and spew it from their mouths, and release a scream that can attract other Daemonifer to their location. In some horrifying circumstances it is believed that one person possessed by many, known as a Legion infested, can sprout into several of these creatures and become an Emergence Hydra. Though this isn't likely to happen to many humans, it is not impossible and may take place when a powerful priest or spellcaster is possessed by multiple weak demons. This sort of possession can also take place within animals as well.

The demons seem to have an urge to die, putting themselves in situations in which they could die or be eaten, and sometimes it's believed that this is actually the will of the human inside trying to end their suffering, though for others they believe that in being eaten by another creature, the demon may pass on to them and be able to possess another being, possibly growing more powerful and evolving yet again...

Overall, Daemonifer are very dangerous, if not low ranking demons in the demonic heirarchy, however they are excellent and numerous foot soldiers in any demon army and can easily overrun humans that aren't prepared and even be a great aid to more powerful demonic troops.

Holly mother of god, it's really scary. I have the impression of seeing the kind of zombie in Last of us, combining with Slug men in Uzumaki. It gives me shivers just to see this. It's a success to make me feel uneasy. X'D The history of Daemonifer scares and fascinates me. The idea of merging a possession and a parasite troubles me, but are so similar that it may be possible. I will release a BFG-9000 and have more talk about this parasite nest. X'D
