Please stay on this show no matter what. In my opinion, it really only gets to its full potential by season 4. But it's funny throughout, even up to this day (they actually just recently launched season 25!), assuming this is your type of comedy (which is mainly satirical, but really a whole lot more than just that).

Totally agree with Gemma. I am pumped-the end of season 3 is when things really pick up in a major way-however the first episodes are also great.

Absolutely agree. Stick with it and then watch the movie as a livestream reaction or something. Should’ve won that Oscar.

Early South Park is great with so many references. Yes, Kathie Lee Gifford is a real person, she was an American morning talk show host. Also "the book depository would be nice" is a reference to the assassination of JFK. I remembering watching this when I was16 and it first premiered I loved it. It was so controversial when it came out but since it's been on for 25+ years it's basically viewed now as iconic animated sitcom right along with the Simpsons.

Yep, I was 16 when it came out. It stirred a lot more feathers in the 90s than today. I think everyone was shocked by it back then. Now even the easily offended just shrug their shoulders like "Eh, what are ya gonna do? It's South Park."
