I'm surprised you didn't realize, both this and Venture Bros you watched this week had the exact same scene of a big Indian guy picking up a water fountain and throw it through a window to escape - referencing the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

People on YouTube will probably say something about Pepe Silvia being Pennsylvania. It wasn't.

A movie Danny DeVito was in. And that Native American guy was the son of the original actor.

There are very specific movie references all over this episode. Dee and Dennis are in a more usual sort of nutty/horrifying Always Sunny story (by the way, the spin instructor was NOT played by Leslie Odom Jr. or anybody else from Hamilton), but as for the others: • Frank, as others have pointed out, is in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," which Danny DeVito was actually in (though in a different role -- he played the guy who kept saying "hit me" while playing cards). The head nurse was made to look like the movie's head nurse, and the movie ends with a silent Native American throwing a water cooler out a window so the main character can escape. • Charlie is in "A Beautiful Mind," with obsession with a conspiracy and a bulletin board filled with arrows pointing to the elements, and confusion about who's imaginary. • Mac is in "The Secret of My Success," in which the new mail guy (originally Michael J. Fox) spots an empty office and creates a new identity for himself (to the accompaniment of that 80s "Oh yeah..." music).

This is maybe my favorite Frank story in the series, but if you haven't seen One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest the jokes just don't make any sense.

Yeah, American health insurance is an extortion racket. They can charge whatever they want, and you can either pay or risk dying...your choice. The pharmaceutical industry is just as bad too. I have nearly $1000 worth of medical bills this year (biopsies, MRIs, ultrasounds, etc), and that's after insurance. You should definitely do a reaction to "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". As someone else already said, this episode and your last reaction to The Venture Bros both heavily referenced that movie. It's a really good movie.

That's not how "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" ends. I won't say what you got wrong because I don't want to spoil it. Chief throws a water fountain through a window, but it wasn't to help McMurphy escape. And it wasn't to help Martini escape either.

I live in America, and yeah our healthcare system sucks. I'm lucky enough to be on Medicare even though it came at the cost of having become disabled, but even then it sucks because the state (as opposed to federal) run healthcare I don't qualify for (solely because I have Medicare, all Medicaid covers for me is my premium payment of $30 a month, which I'd totally rather pay to have vision and dental, screw vision I can pay out of pocket for that, but dental I could really use.

As far as "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" it's definitely worth checking out, it exposes the horrors of the older mental health institutions. It's not what I'd call a comedic movie, though it has many comedic parts, it's still dark in the background. As far as tone goes, I'd say it sits around some of Terry Gilliam's work, like Brazil without the fantasy, and more satire on culture. You should definitely watch it, though wouldn't recommend doing a reaction to it.

This is one of my favorite episodes in the entire series

I may be a wee bit late to this conversation but yeah...medical care being treated as a luxury item is up there among things that are peak America. I'm fortunate that I'm covered to some extent by the V.A. because of that time I gave the military thing a good ol honest try for a few years. Even then I wouldn't put it past them to try to get me roped up in the glorified ponzi scheme known as America's health care system. I've been fortunate that anything that has ailed me could be cured via OTC means and bed rest
