People have probably already told you this, but MAKE SURE you watch "All This and Gargantua-2" between seasons 5 and 6 AND watch the "Gargantua-2" epilogue afterwards on YouTube. It's very, very important that you watch both of those!

[Patreon took down my comment again. Not sure why so I'm going to split it up to see where their beef is] When Dermott asks 21 if he "should get some lotion, or do you want to use blood and clown paint for l ub e?", he's likely referring to American s erial killer John Wayne Gacy who would dress as a clown for children's parties.

When Hank answers the phone call that was for Dean, he says "Bula Vinaka, Beachside". This is a reference to a 1988 commercial for AT&T telephone service. It's pretty obscure but apparently it was sort of a meme (before the word 'meme') back then as some people would imitate the ad and answer their phones like that or record their answering machine greetings with that phrase, which is from Fiji. Here's a link to the commercial on Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECukqY7RaIA

The Teddy Talk-To-Me doll was from the Any Which Way But Zeus episode from season 4 when Hatred, Hank and Dean let Doc think he had been kidnapped. Hatred wore the Optimus Prime talking mask and Hank wore The Hulk talking mask and Dean just used the bear.

Dunwitch Asylum is a reference to the works of cosmic horror author H.P. Lovecraft, as both the Massachusetts towns of Arkham (the namesake of DC's Arkham Asylum) and Dunwich are fictitious settings in his works involving the Cthulhu mythos. Lovecraft was born in Providence, RI USA. I live just the next town over from there.

I'm not sure if you heard him or not as you were talking at the time, but the Two-Face type villain said that his name was Radical Left. It was the left side of his body that was all deformed. I love how they name some of the characters on this show, and we will be seeing him again.

I don't know if you got this, but the Teddy in the asylum was the voice for the Teddy Talk to Me bear. And the bear is based on the Teddy Ruxpin bear that was big in the 80s. You'd by the bear, which had a cassette player in its back, and then you could by the different books with cassette tapes, and the bear would read the book to you. Also, the mouth moved and the eyes opened and closed, which is kind of nightmare fuel. I'm not sure that toy ever made its way to the UK. Here's a commercial. https://youtu.be/8EshrR-xk2E

Yes. Just for clarification, you have two more episodes to go for season 5, "Bot Seeks Bot" and "The Devil's Grip". After that, as Alex states above, there is the season bridging special "All This and Gargantua-2" which runs 47 minutes. They wanted to include the epilogue after the end credits like they normally do but had to cut it for time so instead they made it available on YouTube. Just type "all this and gargantua 2 epilogue" in the search bar. It runs just over three minutes but contains a season 6 teaser at the end. If you don't want any spoilers then stop it when it says "because the brothers are coming back!"

I’m guessing Pawtucket, then, because how many towns can there be in a state the size of Rhode Island? Either that or you live somewhere in Massachusetts.

Red Beerd

I've said before; he should REALLY rewind like 5 seconds after each time he pauses the show. Misses a bunch of jokes : /

The scene where the Native American inmate rips out the drinking fountain the throws it through the window comes right out of the 1975 movie "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" staring Jack Nicholson.

H.E.L.P.eR. suggests to Dermott that he try to summon Dr. Orpheus and Dermott replies, "What, like Dr. Bombay?" Dr. Bombay was a recurring character on the TV show Bewitched who was a magical doctor who could be summoned when needed by reciting a special phrase.

Syphonics

Kinda sad you missed the Radical Left joke and Hank and Dermott singing 'Diarrhea' in the credits

For clarification on what is going on with the teddy bear rewatch Any Which Way But Zeus, season 4, episode 11
