I just realized you could get a vague idea of the year Archer takes place in via the tontine information given. In 1917, Woodhouse's squadron establishes a tontine totaling £1,200.00 which, with 10% compound interest, is now worth "just shy of a million dollars". You could totally math that. I mean, I couldn't, I'm a psych major. But someone could.

It's about 70 years, so 1987. But 10% is nuts. That's just the average return on the stock market. There is also inflation and the many recessions (and one depression) to counter that. A 6% return would be more realistic, so either the show takes place in 2032 or Woodhouse doesn't really know how much money is in there. Or maybe they found some financial genius to manage the account.

Geordie has the urge to do all the accents and I wanna ask him if they're all an accurate sound for parts of the UK since the UK has roughly (this is my own estimate) 69,420 accents (lol noice)
