What it dooski!

So now that we're done with Farscape and Buffy, it’s time to spin up some suggestions and followed by polls.

After reflecting and speaking to some of the Patron/discord fam, I don’t think it’s best to jump head-first into many new shows immediately.

It will be most effective to spend the next weeks focusing on our current lineup: Stargate Atlantis, X-Files, The Office, Angel, and The Last of Us, and build consistency with these shows and finish the ones that are almost done up. After that, select the new short-to-midterm series on the page. This will give me time to pre-record these once selected and get a back catalogue of a few episodes before starting them.

In the meantime, we’ll be spinning up movie reactions, so there will be a following poll after this.

I’d love feedback from you here as to what we’re watching next here :)

So let me know what you think about each of these:

1. What older and LONG series (4+ seasons) do you want to see here? 🤔

2. What upcoming **NEW** series should we watch? (TLOU, Invincible, etc.) 🤔

3. What older and SHORTER series (mini-series - 3 seasons) do you want to see here? 🤔

4. What movies and genres do you want to see here? 🤔

My vote would definitely be Battlestar Gallatica, I really think you would love it. It's an incredible series. :) TYSM!

Here are some possibilities. -Fringe: A more modern X-Files type show. Has a great mythology and mystery that builds over seasons. Great production values and effects. Walter Bishop is an amazing character. Went 4 full seasons and then a half season 5. RIP Lance Reddick -Battlestar Galactica: As others have mentioned, its an amazing show for most of its run. Maybe doesn't quite nail some of the biggest ideas it tries to put forth towards the end, but all in all good ride. If you get to Stargate Universe when you finish Atlantis, you'll see that it is produced quite differently than the previous SG shows. This is because at the time Battlestar Galactica was very popular, and they wanted to make a Stargate show in the same vein. -Supernatural. Maybe just the first 5 seasons. Eric Kripke (who makes The Boys) originally intended it to just go 5 seasons, but due to its popularity WB/CW decided to keep it going. Kripke left after season 5, and the show went on another 10 years. While there were still great episodes here and there, the magic was mostly in the first 5 seasons, and you can easily stop the show after that point if you want. It started 2 or 3 years after the Buffy/Angel-verse ended, and it definitely scratched that itch for me.
